Ben Kieffer and his guests explain what to expect in a special session where lawmakers will consider Iowa's second proposed map for redrawing the state's political boundaries.

On this episode of River to River, host Ben Kieffer talks to political scientists Megan Goldberg of Cornell College and Chris Larimer of the University of Northern Iowa about the second proposed set of maps in Iowa's non-partisan redistricting process, next week's off-year elections and the Democrats' push for a budget deal in Congress.

Later, Peter Hanson of Grinnell College joins the program to talk about the findings in the latest Grinnell College National Poll. It tracked President Joe Biden's approval and whether Americans think U.S. Supreme Court decisions come down to politics.
