The number of candidates who want to replace Republican U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst continues to grow. Democratic state Rep. Josh Turek from Council Bluffs says he knows how to win, even when Republicans outnumber Democrats in Iowa.

Democrat Ryan Melton wants to unseat two-term incumbent U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra. The candidate also challenged the Republican congressman in 2022.

Voters will cast their ballots in primary elections in Iowa on Tuesday. The Republican primary for the 4th Congressional District pits a political newcomer against the incumbent.
