Sleep disruption is a common part of processing and experiencing trauma, Dr. Dyken says. The COVID-19 pandemic is no different.

Have you experienced problems sleeping, nightmares or strange dreams since the start of the pandemic? If so, you’re not alone.

On this episode of River to River, host Ben Kieffer is joined by Dr. Eric Dyken, director of the Iowa City VA Hospital Sleep Laboratory, for a look at the roots of common sleep issues appearing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Dyken also takes questions about sleep and sleep disorders from listeners.
