This year’s Iowa Artist series at the Des Moines Art Center features the work of b. Robert Moore. The Des Moines-based artist dissects the American experience through a racial, social, spiritual and deeply personal lens in his new exhibit “In Loving Memory.” It’s on display through Oct. 20.

Iowa's largest arts festival will be held in Des Moines’ Western Gateway Park from June 28 - 30 and feature nearly 200 artists. Each year, the event brings in about 200,000 visitors.

The Last Picture House in Davenport is bringing Hollywood director Michael Sarnoski to the independent cinema for a special screening of "A Quiet Place: Day One" on Saturday, June 29.
