Gov. Kim Reynolds says she 'strongly opposes' the use of COVID-19 vaccine passports.

IPR Morning Edition host Clay Masters checks in with IPR state government reporter Katarina Sostaric about some of the major issues at the Iowa Statehouse in the last week.

There has been a lot of talk nationally about COVID-19 vaccine passports. Iowa Republican lawmakers, who hold the majority at the Statehouse, and Gov. Kim Reynolds have come out strongly against them while Democrats say the debate is a distraction. Masters and Sostaric discuss the debate over vaccine passports as well as the dispute over the state's corrections budget and other legislative issues.
