LISTEN: Partisan politics is playing out in the officially non-partisan Cedar Rapids Mayor's Race

Early voting has started in Iowa for city and school board elections ahead of Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 2. There’s a competitive mayor’s race in Cedar Rapids where incumbent Mayor Brad Hart, who was first elected in 2017, faces three challengers. Amara Andrews, Myra Colby Bradwell and Tiffany O’Donnell are all running to unseat Mayor Hart. IPR Morning Edition host Clay Masters talks with Cedar Rapids Gazette reporter Marissa Payne about the race.
