Barney Sherman
Classical Music HostBarney Sherman joined Iowa Public Radio member station KSUI in fall 2001. He hosts weekday and Sunday afternoon Classical programs and writes posts for iowapublicradio.org. He has written about music for the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Journal of the American Musicological Society, Early Music, and many other publications, and in books published by Oxford University Press and Cambridge University Press.
A book he co-edited won the "Award for Excellence: Best Research in Recorded Classical Music" from the Association for Recorded Sound Collections. Another topic he has written about is Iowa, for The Atlantic. You can contact Barney at bsherman@iowapublicradio.org.
