The latest figures show that Iowa's prison population has grown over the past year, after three years of declines. Statistics also show that a significant percentage (16%) of inmates in Iowa prisons have a serious mental illness. And, the population of women inmates is growing. What does all of this mean for those inside Iowa's prisons, both the employees and the inmates? We'll talk with Corrections Director John Baldwin, State Senator Bob Dvorsky, a correctional officer and a former inmate to find out.
