  • Dance of the Conductors: It's been a furious two weeks for changes at the top of leading American orchestras. We'll hear from one of the names in the news, Zdenek Macal (ZHDAY-nek mah-KAHL). He's stepping down as leader of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.   • Fleisher in Portland: We'll hear two selections from a recital Leon Fleisher gave January 6th at Portland State University, in Oregon. We'll hear him play Leopold Godowski (goh-DAWF-skee's) "Symphonic Metamorphosis on the Schatz Waltz." It's based on a waltz Johann Strauss, Jr. wrote for his operetta, "The Gypsy Baron."   • The Cleveland organ: Last weekend, audiences in Cleveland had their first chance to hear the restored 6,025 pipe Skinner organ, which was recently re-installed in Severance Hall. Before the concert, Fred spoke with Donald Rosenberg, the author of the new book "The Cleveland Orchestra Story," about what it took to put the organ in place. We'll also hear what the organ sounded like on Saturday night at the gala concert when Thomas Trotter played a piece called "Variations on an Old Carol." (WCLV, Cleveland, OH)
