Lia Crockett is NPR's new senior manager for events

In a note to staff Senior Director & Executive Producer of NPR Events & Experiential Jessica Goldstein announced the following staffing update:

Greetings,

I am excited to introduce you all to our newest member of the NPR Events + Experiential team, Lia Crockett!

Lia joins us from BRIC where she programmed & produced a wide array of concerts, talks and film screenings, including the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival in Prospect Park. Prior to that, Lia worked in marketing & sponsorship for Remezcla, the Austin Chronicle, and the Pachanga Latino Music Festival (where we got to work with her on the NPR Music/AltLatino collaboration back in 2016!). Lia was born and raised in Austin, TX and now resides in Brooklyn, NY where you can hear either WNYC or classic salsa blaring out of her apartment windows depending on the morning.

Lia's portfolio will include overseeing some of our podcast live events (including Code Switch and the Politics Podcast) as well as our Trivia Night series and our NPR Music live event series, including the Tiny Desk Fest. Lia will also be focused on audience development around our work, specifically around creating programming to draw in younger, more diverse audiences.

Thank you,

Jessica
