Many Iowans who were in the path of the derecho are still cleaning up and caring for their damaged trees. In addition to storm wreckage, the grass keeps growing and so do the weeds.

It’s Horticulture Day on Talk of Iowa. Host Charity Nebbe speaks with Iowa State University Extension turf grass specialist Adam Thoms about late summer lawn care. Iowa State University Extension Horticulturist Richard Jauron and Andy Dahl, University of Iowa campus arborist, join the program to answer questions about yards, gardens and trees.
