Pruning is essential for a variety of trees, shrubs and plants health.

The snow is starting to melt and that means it's time to prune back trees before spring weather arrives. 

On this Horticulture Day edition of Talk of Iowa, host Charity Nebbe speaks with DNR district forester Mark Vitosh and ISU Extension Horticulturist Richard Jauron about pruning. They also take listener questions.
