Summer may be a little different this year, but it's still a wonderful time for learning and adventure. Every Tuesday, Talk of Iowa is hosting an episode meant for learners of all ages who are missing out on summer camp this year. On this epsiode of Talk of Iowa, we're taking a deep dive into the history and modern role of rock 'n' roll.

Host Charity Nebbe talks with Iowa Public Radio Studio One music experts (or in this case, camp counselors) Bob Dorr and Tony Dehner. This episode features tunes from Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Big Mama Thornton, Elvis Presley and more.

You can hear Bob Dorr's rock 'n' roll show Backtracks on Saturdays at 2 p.m. on IPR News/Studio One and on Sundays at 9 a.m. on Studio One online. You can hear Tony Dehner's show, Studio One Tracks, daily at 7 p.m. on IPR News/Studio One and Monday through Saturday at 7 a.m. on Studio One online.
