Nurses At Pennsylvania Hospital Strike Over Working Conditions As COVID-19 Cases Rise

Almost 800 nurses at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, northeast of Philadelphia, went on strike this week to protest what they say are unsafe staffing levels at the hospital. The two-day strike comes in the midst of a surge in the coronavirus pandemic that is stressing hospitals across the country.

Here & Now‘s Peter O’Dowd talks with one of the nurses who walked out, Jim Gentile, who has worked at St. Mary Medical Center for 38 years.
