Independent Producer Joe Richman brings us the story of the WASPs: Women Airforce Service Pilots. In an effort to counter the shortage of pilots during World War II, the government launched an experimental training program for women. It was an era when few people thought women could -- or should -- fly. Yet the war created an opportunity. Joe Richman has tracked down many of the surviving WASP's, and in this documentary they tell their stories in their own words.
