Last week, known as funnel week, was the cut off this session to push bills through a committee in either the Iowa House or Senate. The bills that didn’t make it – with some exceptions – are no longer viable.

On this edition of River to River, host Ben Kieffer speaks with Stephen Gruber-Miller of the Des Moines Register, James Lynch of the Cedar Rapids Gazette and Katarina Sostaric of Iowa Public Radio about the bills that survived funnel week.

Guests:

  • Katarina Sostaric, statehouse reporter, Iowa Public Radio
  • James Lynch, reporter, Cedar Rapids Gazette
  • Stephen Gruber-Miller, statehouse reporter, Des Moines Register
