Entomologist Donald Lewis joins Horticulture Day for an overview of invasive insect populations throughout Iowa.

Iowa was not invaded by so-called murder hornets this summer. The Asian Longhorned Beetle did not arrive in the state to kill the state’s maple trees. And the European paper wasp kept a low profile.

On this Horticulture Day edition of Talk of Iowa, host Charity Nebbe speaks with Entomologist Donald Lewis for a 2020 insect update. Horticulturist Richard Jauron joins the program to answer listeners' plant questions.

Guests:

  • Donald Lewis, professor of entomology, Iowa State University
  • Richard Jauron, horticulture specialist, Iowa State University Extension
