New Iowa poll shows lack of faith in election integrity

Nearly a third of Iowans are doubtful that midterm votes will be counted as voters intended. Stephen Gruber-Miller of the "Des Moines Register" helps listeners understand what’s behind the lack of confidence expressed in the latest Iowa poll.

Also, Jason Clayworth of Axios Des Moines discusses how local political boundaries have been redrawn through redistricting. And Kennington Lloyd Smith III talks about the end of the Hawkeye football season and explains why he thinks it's been an ugly, but satisfying season.

Later on, oral historian John McKerley recounts extraordinary stories of Iowa workers, past and present, included in the University of Iowa Labor Center's new podcast, "Speaking of Work."

Guests:

  • Stephen Gruber-Miller, statehouse reporter, Des Moines Register
  • Jason Clayworth, Axios Des Moines
  • Kennington Lloyd Smith III, Hawkeye reporter for Hawk Central and the Des Moines Register
