Mother Night

Ways To Subscribe

Kurt Vonnegut’s “Mother Night” explores issues of morality, humanity and individual responsibility in the aftermath of World War II. While the book was first published in 1961, the themes feel eerily relevant to the state of affairs in 2021.

On this episode, host Charity Nebbe is joined by Vonnegut scholars and expert readers for a discussion of this timeless modern classic.

Charity Nebbe is the host of 'Talk of Iowa'. She also hosts IPR's podcasts 'Garden Variety' and 'Unsettled'. Since 2010, Nebbe has interviewed, conversed with, and shared ideas from guests of all backgrounds and locations, and has helped listeners better understand, appreciate, and explore their state and the world around them. Nebbe has a bachelor's degree from Iowa State University.
