Civil Rights Crimes in Mississippi

NPR's Debbie Elliott has the first of two stories on Mississippi's attempt to prosecute the 1964 murder of three civil rights workers. While several Ku Klux Klan members were tried on federal conspiracy charges related to the crimes, the State never tried to bring murder charges against any of the suspects until now.
