Al Schares
Music Program DirectorAllen Schares joined Iowa Public Radio as Music Program Director in February 2009. Al had served as music director and program host for KUNI for over 20 years. Al leads IPR’s two music services – Classical and Studio One as well as community outreach through cultural programming collaborations.
Schares has a bachelor’s degree in English and teaching certification from the University of Northern Iowa.
