Seconds marks the fourth studio record for Rebecca Rego since 2006. Derek Beres of "Mindful Metropolis" says "There is no doubt that Rebecca Rego is a poetess, given the strength of these ten fine songs. The focus is certainly her voice, by way of her lyrical nature, itself in no way ambiguous."
Seconds is the second full band release of Rebecca Rego featuring Stephanie Whiton on Drums, Michael Biederman on guitar, Mike Przygoda playing piano, and Renee Serritella on bass. Fellow Chicago folkie and occasional member of Joe Pug’s band, Julie Klee, provides backing vocals on half of the new songs.
