Izabel Crane is a band based in Springfield, MO. The group has been gathering fans in Iowa as they have toured through the state in the past year or so, and many of those fans were in the audience for Izabel Crane's live debut on IPR. It was Studio One Underground, live from The Basement of the Des Moines Social Club on April 5. For this show, Izabel Crane was a three piece band: Liz Carney on vocals and guitar, Matt Guinn on lead guitar, and B.J. Lowrance on drums. They performed two sets comprised of original songs plus covers that showcased the group's jazz and Americana influences. We were treated to covers of both Antonio Carlos Jobim's "Corcovado" and Dolly Parton's "Jolene".
