Shulamith is the second album from the Minneapolis-based band Polica. An offshoot of the Minneapolis collective Gayngs, Polica was formed in 2011 by producer Ryan Olson and vocalist Channy Leaneagh. Leaneagh described the songs the two co-wrote for the new record thusly: "Drums. Bass. Synths. Me, Women." The title of the album is a reference to the feminist Shulamith Firestone, who Leaneagh described as her "muse and mentor."
