Blueberries, along with other fruits can be grown in Iowa.

If you took a strategically mapped walk in Iowa in the next few days, you may find yourself surrounded by more fruit than you could eat. Raspberries, mulberries, cherries and serviceberries are ripe right now.

In this edition of Talk of Iowa, host Charity Nebbe talks with Extension horticulturist Patrick O’Malley about growing fruit in Iowa. Then Aaron Steil and DNR Forester Mark Vitosh join the conversation and answer listener questions.

Guests:

  • Aaron Steil, ISU consumer horticulture Extension specialist
  • Mark Vitosh, DNR Forester
