Judi Sheppard Missett started Jazzercise in 1969.

The name Jazzercise my conjure up outdated images of women in bright leotards sporting big 1980’s hairdos, but Jazzercise is alive and thriving. Right now, there are approximately 8,500 franchisees teaching more than 32,000 classes a week in 25 countries, and the woman who started it all, 50 years ago, got her start dancing as a child in Red Oak.

On this edition of Talk of Iowa, the founder and CEO of Jazzercise, Judi Sheppard Missett.
