Cedar Rapids is the largest city in Linn County.

In early August, 2020 Linn County was hit hard by a derecho, the kind of extreme weather that has become more and more common as we experience the effects of climate change.

Later that month, Linn County’s first ever sustainability program manager started work. The Board of Supervisors hired Tamara Marcus as part of Linn County's plan to address climate change and environmental sustainability. Now, six months into the role, Marcus joins host Charity Nebbe on this episode of Talk of Iowa.

Guest:

  • Tamara Marcus, sustainability program manager, Linn County
Charity Nebbe is the host of IPR's Talk of Iowa
Katelyn Harrop is a producer for IPR's River to River and Talk of Iowa
