How To Virtually Play Games This Holiday Season

Michal Parzuchowski
There are several ways to connect for a family game night using video conferencing services this upcoming holiday season. Games involving decks of cards, risk or chance will be near impossible to play virtually. However, games like Taboo, Yahtzee and Scattergories can be played online with little friction.

We invited Annelise Tarnowski of The Rook Room in Des Moines to explain some of the best ways to play board games virtually this holiday season.

As we look ahead to a holiday season that needs to be different this year — because it isn’t safe to gather in traditional ways with people outside of our households — one of many things people might miss the most is playing games with extended family.

It’s a great way to be together, to laugh, have fun and learn about each other. There are ways to make it happen virtually. Below are a few of the resources today's guest, Annelise Tarnowski, mentioned during her conversation with Talk of Iowa host Charity Nebbe.
