Jennifer Knox has written poetry inspired by decidedly unpoetic topics like cannibalism, heavy metal music, ADHD and more.

Poet Jennifer Knox discusses her new collection of poems with Talk of Iowa host Charity Nebbe.

Knox’s new poetry collection, “Crushing It” is hilarious, disturbing, touching and more than occasionally profane. Knox teaches at Iowa State University and she and her husband run a small spice company called Saltlickers.

She’ll be reading and talking along with poet Ada Limon at a virtual public event sponsored by Writers At Grinnell and Prairie Lights Bookstore in Iowa City at 7:00PM. You can find out how to attend the event here.

Guest:

Jennifer Knox, professor of English at Iowa State University.
