NBC’s Harry Smith On Environmental Stewardship And Midwestern Reporting

Harry Smith reflects his Midwestern roots in his diverse reporting, which often has an environmental focus.

Harry Smith is a longtime broadcast news fixture. He was at CBS for 17 years, where he hosted the CBS News morning programs, The Early Show and its predecessor, CBS This Morning. He’s been with NBC news since 2011.

Smith grew up in Illinois and went to Central College in Pella, where he will return on October 24th to give the keynote address at “Called to Climate Action 2020: Uphold & Upheave!” The event is sponsored by Iowa Interfaith Power and Light and Central College.
