The novel coronavirus expresses itself in many different ways.

It’s a virus that kills some people, while others can be infected and experience no symptoms at all. There are different experiences between those two extremes and we’re hearing more about ‘Long-Haulers:’ people who have been experiencing serious and debilitating symptoms months after infection.

On today’s episode of Talk of Iowa, host Charity Nebbe speaks with Nora Boerner, who started feeling sick on April 17, 2020, about her long-haul experience with COVID-19.

Later in the program, pediatrician Dr. Amy Shriver discusses what we’ve learned about COVID-19 in children as they plan to return to school in the fall.

Guests:

· Nora Boerner, COVID-19 patient
· Dr. Amy Shriver, pediatrician with UnityPoint Health – Des Moines
