Wisconsin Band Dead Horses Processes Relationships And Loss In New Singles

Ty Helbach
Sarah Vos and Dan Wolf of Dead Horses have made a name for themselves in the Midwest Americana scene, touring both regionally and nationally.

Singer/songwriter Sarah Vos struggled with her identity as a young adult but found comfort in playing music with her bandmate Dan Wolf, finding shared inspiration in their past pains and hardships.

On this segment of Talk of Iowa, host Charity Nebbe talks with Milwaukee-based Americana duo Dead Horses. The band discusses how they came together and turned their personal narratives into thoughtful, empathetic movement.

Dead Horses will be performing at the Vaudeville Mews in Des Moines on June 5th, with a free Lunch & Listen performance at West End Architectural Salvage in Des Moines at 12-1pm. Both events are presented in partnership with Iowa Public Radio.
