What do the challenges America faced more than 150 years ago have to do with the instability the nation is facing today?

On this edition of River to River, host Ben Kieffer speaks with historian David Reynolds about his new biography on the 16th President of the United States.

With more than 10,000 books published on the life of Lincoln, Reynolds branches out in his writing to talk about Lincoln’s surrounding culture – the humor, music, plays and museums he loved. Reynolds’ book is titled “Abe: Abraham Lincoln in His Times.”

Also in the conversation, how President Donald Trump compares with Lincoln in dealing with social divisions and racial issues.
