In 2007, Kristi Ruth nearly lost her arm in a farm accident. It’s just once example of the hazards of agricultural work.

In Iowa, 30 to 40 people die from injuries on the farm each year, and 800 to 1,000 die nationally. During this River to River interview, Ben Kieffer talks with one Iowan who nearly lost her arm as a high school student while helping her dad dig holes for fence posts.
