The Psychopath Inside: A Neuroscientist's Personal Journey into the Dark Side of the Brain

Stephen Hampshire

The criminal brain has always held a fascination for neuroscientist James Fallon.  A few years ago, he inadvertently discovered his brain scan perfectly matched a pattern that he’d found in the brains of serial killers. Today on River to River, host Ben Kieffer talks with Fallon.

Fallon’s latest book is titled - The Psychopath Inside: A Neuroscientist’s Personal Journey into the Dark Side of the Brain. He tells us the story of how he discovered his brain abnormality matched that of psychopaths, his study of the minds of convicted criminals, and how people like Nelson Mandela and Mother Teresa might be called pro-social psychopaths.
