Understanding Charles Darwin With Genetics And DNA

Feb. 12 marks the 211 anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin. Over the last several decades, a movement to establish an international Darwin Day holiday has been growing. A group in Iowa City celebrates Darwin Day every year by highlighting the work of modern evolutionary scientists. 

On this edition of Talk of Iowa, host Charity Nebbe talks with three guests to give a preview of this year’s Darwin Day celebration in Iowa City, including two different insights on DNA and human genetic diversity. 

John Novembre and Anya Prince will be giving their talks on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 21 and 22 for Darwin Day celebration in Iowa City
