IPR is always looking for new ways to bring great music to our listeners, and more and more, that means going beyond what we do on air. It's no surprise to anyone that social media is playing a growing role in reaching our listeners. With this in mind, we've invested in video equipment that will make it possible for us to regularly stream our in-studio performances. We've already done it on our Classical stream, and this week you'll have two chances to catch Studio One events on Facebook Live!
We'll be joined by the Cedar Rapids band treesreach on Monday the 19th, an indie band with an ethereal, atmospheric sound. They'll play songs from their just-released debut album. Then on Wednesday the 21st, we'll welcome Dan Tedesco, a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Des Moines who's made multiple appearances on Studio One in the past. This is your chance to not only hear, but see these great artists!
Both of these live sets will happen during the first hour of Studio One Tracks. Of course, you'll still be able to tune in to our News-Studio One or 24-hour Studio One streams, or come to the show in person. We're looking forward to expanding our listeners' options as we bring you Studio One live performances on Facebook Live, and we're anxious to do it at other venues and festivals as well!
