SOI Encore: DMSO's "Romeo & Juliet"

This week’s Symphonies of Iowa encore broadcast presents the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra’s “Romeo & Juliet and The King of Instruments” concert on Monday night, Octboer 17 at 7 p.m. It features music composed by Hector Berlioz, Francis Poulenc, and Camille Saint-Saëns.

Iowa native Jeffrey Brillhart studied at Drake University with the symphony’s own Carl Staplin and grew up to be one of the world’s most prominent organists and soloist with the Philadephia Orchestra. Jeffrey takes his seat at a state-of-the-art Allen Organs Quantum Digital Organ for the awe-inspiring Saint-Saëns “Organ” Symphony.
