Iowa State University has been undergoing several changes this fall, including the development of new mobile app safety technology.

"One of our new tools that we have in place is something called the ISU Guardian App," said Iowa State University President Wendy Wintersteen.

"It's an app that provides a full contact list of emergency and non-emergency personal and push notifications about campus activity and crime. And certainly there is a button that links the student directly to a nine eleven dispatcher and more importantly the ISU police are available from 6:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. to act as the guardian, as students are out and about."

On this segment of River to River, host Ben Kieffer speaks with Wintersteen about the app as well as the latest news on enrollment, admissions, and the College of Agriculture at Iowa State University.
