Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds gave her 2019 Condition of the State address on Tuesday to a joint session of the Iowa legislature. It was her first such address since being elected to a full term in November. Reynolds served as Lieutenant Governor under former Governor Terry Branstad. When Branstad resigned to become Ambassador to China, Reynolds assumed the governorship. This was her first opportunity to lay out her own priorities and differentiate her vision from her predecessor.
After the speech, IPR's Charity Nebbe talks with Chris Larimer, professor of political science at University of Northern Iowa for analysis.
