Jeb Bush: "Shift Power Back To The States"

GOP presidential hopeful Jeb Bush meets supporters at a Waterloo diner Tuesday.

Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush is in Iowa today (Tuesday) unveiling a plan to scale back federal regulations. The former Governor of Florida told a crowd of 100 at a Waterloo diner that it’s time to shift the power back to the states. He says his idea would kick start economic growth.

“Where every dollar of additional cost imposed on Iowa farmers or Florida small business people, you have to find a savings of a dollar in some other regulation," he said.  "The animal spirits of this country are being stifled by this top down regulatory system that is choking off the next generation of job creators."

Bush says he’s learned to embrace the fact that he’s an introvert. He says when you’re one of 15 contenders for the GOP nomination for president, you don’t have to have the loudest voice or say outrageous things to get attention.
