Later in the episode, a conversation with Jim Frier – one of the people who helped shape the farming culture in Washington County. Frier is the former Iowa State University Extension director for Washington County.
While he’s now retired, Frier was a pioneer in no-till farming methods and the use of cover crops and helped cultivate a progressive farming community in Southeast Iowa.
