On River to River, host Ben Kieffer talks with political analysts Rene Rocha of the University of Iowa and Jonathan Hassid of Iowa State University to preview President Biden's speech to a joint session of Congress Wednesday night.

They examine polling on Biden's performance that shows most Americans approve of the administration's handling of the pandemic and other issues — with one notable exception. Most disapprove of Biden's handling of immigration and the flow of migrants to the U.S.-Mexico border. Kieffer, Rocha and Hassid discuss how the number of migrants at the border today compares with migration before the pandemic.

Guests:
Rene Rocha, professor of political science, University of Iowa
Jonathan Hassid, associate professor of political science, Iowa State University
