In this encore episode of IPR Studio One's "Java Blend" from 2013 host, Ben Kieffer chats with local Iowa City group, The Beggarmen.

The Beggarmen, an acoustic quartet, find their roots in the traditional music of Ireland and other Celtic regions, supplementing the rich variety of traditional tunes with original compositions.

Known for fine instrumental work on fiddle, guitar, tin whistles, mandolin, pipes and bodhran (the Irish frame drum), The Beggarmen also lend their voices to the mix for a varied, entertaining show. They have been described by the Iowa City Press Citizen as a "passionate, crowd pleasing whirlwind" and by the Cedar Rapids Gazette simply as "one of the best bands in the area".
