California Restaurant Owner Hopes For Compromise On Aid 'To Be Able To Survive'

Following similar moves by states such as Massachusetts and Ohio, the state of California is now floating the idea of implementing a curfew to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

The majority of counties in the state are now under the highest level of COVID-19 restrictions, which means some businesses have had to scale back operations. That includes restaurants, which are no longer allowed to offer indoor dining. This comes at a time when cases are surging and there is no federal relief for businesses on the horizon from Congress.

Here & Now’s Tonya Mosley speaks with Jerry Fat, president of the Fat Family Restaurant Group in Sacramento, about how his restaurants have been impacted.
