South Dakota Emergency Doctor On COVID-19 Staffing Concerns In Rural Areas

The company Moderna said Monday that preliminary data from its ongoing vaccine trial study shows its COVID-19 vaccine is 94.5% effective. The development comes a day after more Americans were hospitalized with COVID-19 than ever before.

Here & Now’s Tonya Mosley checks in with Dr. Clay Smith, president of the South Dakota chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians and a frontline doctor in South Dakota, a state that has been hard-hit by the virus.
