Attorney General Barr Defends His Political Decisions

The nation’s top law enforcement official accused career prosecutors in his own Justice Department of launching politically motivated probes into prominent people, in what appeared to be a thinly veiled defense of his handling of two high-profile criminal cases involving close associates of President Trump.

Speaking at Hillsdale College in Michigan, Attorney General William Barr said, "Individual prosecutors can sometimes become headhunters, consumed with taking down their target.” Barr defended himself against criticism that he had “interfered” in cases involving Michael Flynn and Roger Stone.
