Black Jogger Who Was Detained On Why He's Working With Police On Anti-Bias Training

On Aug. 27, Joseph Griffin was detained while jogging in his mostly white neighborhood of Deltona, Florida. Police said he matched the description of a theft suspect.

Griffin was cleared and the police let him go after 15 minutes and apologized.

He has since been asked to work with the police department on anti-bias training. Here & Now‘s Peter O’Dowd speaks with Griffin, who is also an Army veteran and nurse manager at an intensive care unit.
