Black Franchisees Sue McDonald's For Racial Discrimination

More than 50 former Black McDonald’s franchisees are suing the company for racial discrimination. The plaintiffs claim that the fast-food giant steered them into unprofitable locations and denied them opportunities for growth.

The lawsuit comes after McDonald’s CEO claimed, without evidence, that the company minted more Black millionaires than any other. Analysis has shown that Black McDonald’s franchise ownership has actually been declining for decades.

Roben Farzad, host of Public Radio’s  Full Disclosure, joins host Tonya Mosley to discuss.
