Mexico's COVID-19 Death Toll Now World's Third Highest

Mexican schools will not reopen when the academic year begins on August 24 in order to safeguard the health of students and teachers because cases of coronavirus are still too high, education minister Esteban Moctezuma said Monday.

Mexico now has the world’s third-highest death toll from the coronavirus. Host Tonya Mosley gets the latest from NPR’s Carrie Kahn in Mexico City.
